Vinyasa is a contemporary and dynamic style of yoga which focuses on linking breath with movement. It involves a sequence of poses that transition smoothly from one to the next.

 

Whilst I’ve practiced  (and loved) many different types of yoga.. hatha, ashtanga, yin and rocket. I continuously arrive back at Vinyasa due to the opportunity for freedom and creativity within the classes as well as the chance to build strength, flexibility, and balance.

For me, Vinyasa allows me to become fully present in the moment and offers me a consistent reminder to allow my breath to lead my movement and to reconnect to my mind and body.

 

My classes are centred around coming back to yourself, releasing stagnant energy via movement and breath and leaving with a deep-rooted sense of peace.

 

I design my classes with challenging elements to push the body but with plenty of space left for joy and svasana.. Nothing matches the feeling of those dreamy last 5 minutes of stillness! 

BreathWork

Every yoga class I teach has a big focus on breathwork, I will guide various breathwork techniques at the beginning of class to ensure everyone begins class feeling grounded and calm. I offer consistent reminders to check in with the breath to allow us to move deeper and more seamlessly through poses as well as a guide to stay present in the moment.
